भाजपा नेता गोल्डी जिंदल पर कुछ युवकों ने तेजधार हथियार से जानलेवा हमला कर उन्हें लहुलूहान कर दिया। इसके बाद हमलावर मौके से फरार हो गए। इलाज के लिए श्री जिंदल को स्थानीय सिविल अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है।
श्री जिंदल ने पुलिस को दिए अपने ब्यान में कहा है कि वे किसी काम से लौटकर जब अपने घर जा रहे थे,तभी ईलू,बाबा और आठ दस लोगों ने मिलकर उनपर तेजधार हथियार से वॉर कर दिया। उन्होंने बताया कि इन सभी ने जाते जाते उन्हें जान से मार देने के साथ साथ टांग तोड़ने की भी धमकी दी है जसकी रिकॉर्डिंग उनके मोबाइल फोन में मौजूद है।
श्री गोल्डी ने अपने ब्यान में यह भी कहा है कि इन लोगों पर पहले भी पुलिस में कई मामले दर्ज हैं। श्री गोल्डी के अनुसार यह उन पर इन असमाजिक तत्वों द्वारा किये गया तीसरा हमला है। इस से पहले हुए हमलों की जानकारी पुलिस को दी गई थी लेकिन राजनैतिक प्रभाव के चलते पुलिस ने कोई भी कार्रवाई नहीं की।
गोल्डी जिंदल ने जालंधर पुलिस कमिश्नर से आसामाजिक तत्वों पर बनती कानूनी कार्रवाई करने की मांग की है।
